Mobile Subscriber Numbers in Pakistan have Risen from 68,000 in 1996 to 3.3 Million by End-2003, Reaching over 21 million by Early 2006

DUBLIN, Ireland--(BUSINESS WIRE) Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/reports/c36550) has announced the addition of "Pakistan - Mobile Communications and Broadcasting" to their offering. With annual growth well in excess of 100%, the mobile telephone market in Pakistan has been experiencing a period of strong and sustained development. Mobile services were first offered in 1990 and, despite high costs, grew rapidly. Subscriber numbers have risen from 68,000 in 1996 to 3.3 million by end-2003, reaching over 21 million by early 2006. However, by international standards, penetration remained relatively low at around 14%, suggesting that there was room for further expansion. Whilst progress has been made in the regulatory area, rigid policies slowed growth. This report looks at the Pakistani mobile market, as well as a brief look at the television broadcasting sector.

Friendship !!!!!!!!!!

Make new friends, but keep the old; Those are silver, these are gold. New-made friendships, like new wine, Age will mellow and refine. Friendships that have stood the test - Time and change - are surely best;Brow may wrinkle, hair grow gray, Friendship never knows decay. For 'mid old friends, tried and true,Once more we our youth renew. But old friends, alas! may die, New friends must their place supply. Cherish friendship in your breast- New is good, but old is best; Make new friends, but keep the old; Those are silver, these are gold. By Joseph Parry

Worldwide mobile phone sales to grow 23% this year: study

Worldwide sales of cellular phones, which totaled $110 billion in 2005, will grow by 23 percent in 2006, according to a report released Wednesday by market research firm In-Stat. The study predicts that sales will continue to grow in coming years, although at a slower rate, and will reach $250 billion in 2011. The study noted that, by 2011, only 52 other countries will have bigger economies than the mobile handset industry would have, were it a country. However, for such rapid growth to occur, several things must happen, the report concluded. The biggest challenge, according to In-Stat, is for mobile device vendors to add features without significantly increasing price. It based that conclusion on a survey of end users it conducted as part of the report, it said in a statement. The study also pointed trends it expects to see in mobile phones. "Big trends over the next five years include adoption of wireless phones as a mobile wallet, and that more users will carry multiple devices," Bill Hughes, an In-Stat analyst, said in a statement. Attitude For An Aptitude! ;)

When I take a long time, I am slow. When my boss takes a long time, he is thorough. When I don't do it, I am lazy. When my boss doesn't do it, he's too busy. When I do it without being told, I'm trying to be smart. When my boss does the same, that is initiative. When I please my boss, that’s brown-nosing. When my boss pleases his boss, that's co-operating. When I do good, my boss never remembers. When I do wrong, he never forgets.

Passing the Exam ;)

Three patients in a mental institution prepare for an examination given by the head psychiatrist. If the patients pass the exam, they will be free to leave the hospital. However, if they fail, the institution will detain them for five years. The doctor takes the three patients to the top of a diving board looking over an empty swimming pool, and asks the first patient to jump. The first patient jumps head first into the pool and breaks both arms. Then the second patient jumps and breaks both legs. The third patient looks over the side and refuses to jump. "Congratulations! You're a free man. Just tell me why didn't you jump?" asked the doctor. To which the third patient answered, "Well Doc, I can't swim!"

How to put the right person in the right chair?

How to put the right person in the right chair? Does your Company have a problem in recruiting the right person for the right chair? If yes, try this simple experiment. Put around 100 bricks in some particular order in a closed room with an open window. Then send 2-3 candidates into the room and close it from outside. Leave them alone and come back after 6 hours, and then analyze the situation: If they are counting and recounting the number of bricks - PUT THEM IN ACCOUNTS DEPT. If they have messed up the whole place with the bricks PUT THEM IN ENGINEERING. If they are arranging the bricks in some other order - PUT THEM IN PLANNING. If they are throwing the bricks at each other - PUT THEM IN OPERATIONS. If they are sleeping - PUT THEM IN SECURITY. If they have broken the bricks into pieces - PUT THEM IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY. If they are sitting idle - PUT THEM IN HUMAN RESOURCE DEPT. If they have thrown the bricks out of the window - PUT THEM IN THE MATERIALS DEPT. If they are clinging onto the bricks - PUT THEM IN TREASURY. If they say they have tried different combinations, yet not a brick has moved - PUT THEM IN SALES. If they have already left for the day - PUT THEM IN MARKETING. If they are staring out of the window - PUT THEM IN THE EXPORT. AND last but not least.......... If they are talking to each other and not a brick has moved - PUT THEM IN TOP MANAGEMENT

Its a GOD grace!

I know a girl She puts the color inside of my world but she's just like a maze Where all of the walls all continually change And I've done all I can To stand on her steps with my heart in my hands Now I'm starting to see Maybe it’s got nothing to do with me Fathers, be good to your daughters Daughters will love like you do Girls become lovers who turn into mothers So mothers, be good to your daughters too Ooh, you see that skin? It's the same she's been standing in Since the day she saw him walking away Now she's left cleaning up the mess he made So fathers, be good to your daughters Daughters will love like you do Girls become lovers who turn into mothers So mothers, be good to your daughters too Boys, you can break You find out how much they can take Boys will be strong And boys soldier on But boys would be gone without warmth from A woman's good, good heart On behalf of every man looking out for every girl You are the god and the weight of her world So fathers, be good to your daughters Daughters will love like you do Girls become lovers who turn into mothers So mothers be good to your daughters, too So mothers be good to your daughters, too So mothers be good to your daughters, too.
