Nanga Parbat-Killer Mountain

In this undated image the snow-capped mountain of Nanga Parbat is seen in northern Pakistan. Rescuers are hunting for a Venezuelan climber who went missing while trying to scale a 'killer' mountain in Pakistan, the world's 9th highest peak, an official said Wednesday July 19, 2006. Jose Antonio Delgado lost contact with base camp Monday while scaling 8,125-meter (26,812-foot) Nanga Parbat, which translates as 'Naked Mountain' in Pakistan's Urdu language. It is more widely known as 'Killer Mountain' because of the many climbers who have perished there. (AP Photo) .
